IBIX ART garnet was specific selected by IBIX to be used with the TRILOGY’s HELIX and ECO-BLASTER equipment to allow for effective cleaning procedures. The media is made from a mineral called almandine which is 100% natural. Almandine is chemically neutral, non-metal material, free of toxic chemicals, free of silica and it is not carcinogenic. It does not contain ferrite, impurities or pollutants and is free of salts. The properties of this mineral are in full compliance with safety at work regulations and environmental standards. Using IBIX ART allows for a safe work environment.
Cost-saving:
Thanks to the TRILOGY’s low air pressure, it will minimizes media consumption by 50-75% in comparison to traditional sand blasting equipment. This will reduce the cost of media drastically by reducing consumption needs and disposal costs while maintaining achieving perfect cleaning results.
Due to the minerals hardness and low friability, it can be reused several times, producing even more cost savings for the operator.
High productivity:
While the TRILOGY’s offers cost savings to the operator it also offers high productivity while using small amounts of media. Cleaning a m² can be achieved by only using 2-5 kg while productivity per hour can be as high as 10 m², depending of the type of surface contamination being removed. IBIX ART features high cutting speeds due to the high number of aggregate grains hitting the surface, 144/units of volume against 85 for slug.
Hardness:
IBIX ART has a high harness level of 7.5-8 Mohs. By adjusting the media size and air pressure you can achieve uniform surface roughness. SA3 standard can be easily met.
